BBMRI.it biobanks reported 167 publications, including 124 co-authored papers, showing the scientific value of shared biobanking resources.

BBMRI.it biobanks continue to generate measurable scientific impact. In 2025, BBMRI.it biobanks reported 167 publications, of which 124 were co-authored.

This strong collaborative output confirms the role of biobanks as engines of multidisciplinary research. By providing high-quality biological samples, associated clinical and molecular data, and standardized procedures, biobanks help researchers produce more robust and reproducible scientific results.

The high number of co-authored publications also reflects the collaborative model promoted by BBMRI.it: connecting biobankers, clinicians, researchers, data experts and research infrastructures to accelerate biomedical discovery.
