“THE NICo NETWORK AT THE SERVICE OF BIOBANKS: methodological and management aspects for the definition of price lists.” The second training session promoted by the University of Trento as part of the Italian NRRP BBMRI.it project will be held at the Department of Pharmacy and Biotechnology (FABIT), University of Bologna on 31st January – 1st February 2024. During the two days session, participants will have the opportunity to discuss issues of fundamental importance for the management of the core facilities' services: Among the main topics: - principles of analytical accounting and control management underlying the calculation of the usage costs of the infrastructure - legal aspects and contractual instruments provided by the Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe programs to implement the reporting of internal invoices and Research Infrastructures actions - ethical issues related to the use of infrastructures and the management of state aid regulations - practical session where some concrete examples will be brought to the attention of the participants as good practice. Soon, the efforts of the NICo network will nurture the growth and the work of the biobanks of the BBMRI.it network, providing services for the characterization of biological samples. Next Generation Sequencing, mass spectrometry, advanced imaging and other innovative infrastructures will be capable of offering omics characterization, in order to expand sample datasets with molecular data, thus enriching the information value of the biological assets of biobanks.
